This page collects useful information for you as a new RITCS student. We gathered a number of links that will help you during your first days and will also be useful throughout your studies. There are several communication channels between you and the RITCS. Some have to do with the courses, others offer you the opportunity to have a say in your education. Academic calendars

The academic calendar is the overview of the start and end of the academic year, vacations, exam periods, semesters, catch-up activities, educational activities and public holidays.

The ECTS-files give you a detailled overview of your courses and their content. 
Please note that they are currently only available in Dutch.

Platforms

Canvas

Canvas is the electronic learning environment to support education digitally. Via Canvas your teachers can make announcements or share text documents and images with you. As a student, you will also use Canvas to submit assignments, take tests, collaborate with your fellow students, etc.

CAS

Using your login and password, you have quick access via CAS to a whole spectrum of web applications within the university of applied sciences and arts, such as Canvas, student mail, the digital student secretariat... You only need to log in once to CAS and you are automatically logged in to all linked applications.

At the start of the academic year, everyone will receive an email address from EhB. By default, this is firstname.name@student.ehb.be for students or firstname.name@ehb.be for teachers.

RITCS ONLINE is the streaming service of the RITCS School of Arts. As a student and employee you can view and listen to the works of our (former) students.

Counseling

Ombudsman office

The ombudsman supervises the safeguarding of the rights of the student and can act as a mediator in conflicts if necessary, both between students and between teachers and students.

Study trajectory counselor Katrien helps you to reflect on the most efficient learning route and, through her professional support, ensures that your study career runs smoothly.

The Student Support Services (Stuvo) from EhB offer you a wide range of student facilities, so that you can study and grow in the most optimal conditions.

Brik

Brik is the service desk for students in Brussels. They take care of the students together with the Dutch-speaking Universities of Applied Sciences (and Arts) and Universities. You can contact them for accommodation, mobility, city life and events.

Lending service

The RITCS has a lending service on every campus where you as a RITCS student can borrow material for the realization of your assignments.

You can contact the ICT service for more information about, among other things, your EhB e-mail, the software package and the necessary hardware that you wish to purchase.

The RITCS has its own course book service, which you can find in the reception of Campus Dansaert. Buy your courses for your education here.

MoBo

MoBo (short for Mediatheek - Onderzoeksruimte - Bibliotheek - Ontmoetingsplek) is a Mediatheque, Research Room, Library and Meeting Place of the RITCS where you can also work in silence.

Coming to Belgium

Tuition cost

A student pays the registration fee and studio fee annually. The amounts for the registration fee can be found through the link below. The studio fee depends on the courses for which you register and can be consulted with the study program itself. These amounts vary between €400 and €1250 for a full-time (60ECTS) course per year. Students outside the EU from a precarious environment can request a reduction on the registration fee. An application can be submitted to the student secretariat.

Admission Requirements

If you want to study at the RITCS, there are certain requirements that must be met in terms of degree and language. In addition to this, you must also pass an artistic admission test.
